Author’s Notes:
– Continuation of GGI: Finch And Herbert Start Talking
– No, no sex. Sorry. I’ll get to it eventually.
– …That’s really about it.
Warnings:
– Other than ‘no sex’, swearing, and Finch-centered introspection, nothing else.
– Oh, I misspelled Lillefryd’s name. I didn’t have internet access so I couldn’t check it.
Enjoy or something.

“…but he didn’t do anything! He just left the book on my desk and went back to his own, and said that unless I told him what I wanted, I wouldn’t get it! What’s his problem? I mean, seriously.” Finsh sighed and picked at one of the fuzzy pills on the arm of the worn old couch he was sitting on.
Sandra smiled at him and raised an eyebrow. “Now, Finch, what is it you said you liked best about Herbert?”
Finally, something A) new and B) that is NOT Finch/Herbert! Woo.
Most Important Author’s Note:
– The Tashtelten people already knew Cordialis as Bloodflame. They thought ‘Pers’ was an okay name, but it wasn’t meaningful enough for most people, so they decided to give him a new name: Springrill. By the time this piece takes place, both Pers and Cordialis are calling one another by their new names about half the time; everyone that is not them uses their new names all the time.
Optional Author’s Notes:
– As ever, this is not finished. Surprise!
– No actual sex, sorry — I’m working on it. Pers and Cordialis are somewhat shy, or at least more shy than the rest of my characters.
– And speaking of being shy, again, the culture that Pers and Cordialis come from/were raised in is much more closed-mouthed about sex than that of the people who have snatched them. Pers is willing to talk about sex, but only with people he knows/is friends with. (Which in this case would be Cordialis.)
– No, there’s no law stating that you can’t be married if there’s only two of you — it’s just far more common for three people to get married to one another than two or four. Two or four is not unheard of, or ridiculed as freakish; it might be commented upon, but the tone of the comments depend on the commenter. Culturally speaking, there’s no stigma (as far as I know).
– I have no idea what Cordialis is doing. I have the feeling it’s kind of make-work to keep him busy without risking him mucking up any official documents/filing systems.
– I don’t know who First Lieutenant Snowbell is, but she’s bound to be interesting — Cordialis wouldn’t be inclined to marry her if she wasn’t.
– I also don’t know who Thistlesmoke is, or what his function is, outside of ‘antagonist’ and ‘archery-instructor’s nephew’.
– …That’s about it, for now.
You know what to do.
