Hiya! Just popped over from Warren Ellis's blog to read your thoughts on Filament.

The types of objections to porn you are talking about are pretty much what made me start Filament. I thought quite hard about what objectification is and tried to avoid it - but you won't see that through sample images because it's about context - which is why Filament is a magazine not a website.

We certainly haven't photoshopped any models' nipples, but you're right that the photography could be better. It is a huge challenge, especially as we have no money to pay photographers with and there are so few photographers working in this field. I think the photography in Issue 2 is tons better though.

You should start your own porn company! There is just not enough stuff out there genuinely aimed at women, and I find it frustrating that Filament, as the only mag on the market at the minute, is expected to cater to every woman's desires.

Anyway thanks for caring enough to write something about our teeny wee fledgling magazine!
